Accuride
Accuride was founded in 1962 in California, USA. At the beginning, it was a small tool and die manufacturer that produced high-quality slides for tape drives and copiers. Faced with the rapid growth of market demand for precision products, the companys founder Fred Jordan expanded the companys scale and soon built a 40,000 square foot factory in California. In the late 1960s, Accuride developed ball bearing slides for steel office furniture. The company’s design engineers then applied this to the wood furniture market and developed new features, such as the use of Breathing Tabs to absorb the tolerances of wood products. Accuride has set strict production standards to monitor every production process. Its high-quality products have won the market reputation. The factory has built-in progressive die stamping, roll forming and electroplating production lines. Like other important tools and machines, these processes are completed in the factory, avoiding the quality problems caused by other manufacturers who usually outsource these processes. Today, Accuride has more than one million square feet of factories around the world and is the worlds largest company specializing in the design and manufacture of ball slides. Accuride series slides are widely used, from fine furniture, high-end appliances, housings to automobiles and various industrial equipment.
